Support and advice
St Helens College contains a varied and committed manifesto with regards to the support and direction offered to almost all learners participating in the college, The faculty offers support staff who have are available to assist the every students with any concerns they might possess, ranging from cha?ne, student services, the safeguarding team, virtually any issues the learner may well have with coursework, Period Management, Drug and Alcohol awareness, anti bullying support, Motivation, Self-esteem, Goal setting, Sex health, bereavement, Revision, and Homelessness.
A good example of how the support system is dealing with regards to my own office has been when one of each of our current students after the math's and English initial tests were completed our spanish student was diagnosed through the essential skills staff with dyslexia the learner was mindful of his scenario and was appreciative with the approach of the college in relation to address his situation whilst in the learning environment. Changes were made through liaising among programme managers and instructors, to ensure delivery and content material of all schoolwork will not affect the learning effects of the pupil, classroom electrical power points and handouts will probably be delivered on colours approved by the student, the font on power points and handouts will be in comic without and font size will probably be size 16, depending on the learners learning style, lessons in the classroom and workshop have become more visual oral and kinesthetic and the make use of concrete illustrations demonstrations and analogy in which appropriate, also repeating items in different methods have helped the learner, extra time will be allotted towards the learner if agreed and required to full assignments. Addititionally there is the opportunity intended for the student if he requires having a reader through the college's dyslexia team, which will help read examinations for him.

Into the safety is one of the main guidelines acts.
In a workshop environment it is most important to follow these rules most learners need to wear the proper PPE (personnel protective equipment) this addresses safety boots at all times, overalls, glasses and ear defenders as needed. The importance with the legislation is definitely and what sets out to achieve is passed in. It is also claims that a secure working environment should be maintained all the time for both the pupils and personnel. Equal Opportunities Policy
